Spectrum has got participants’ Easter holidays covered: either three days of performance skills classes, full of dancing and singing OR a sensory exploration out of this world! These holiday activities are free to all participants thanks to funding from Central Bedfordshire Council.
There will be two lots of workshops taking place during the 12th, 13th and 14th of April this Easter: Musical Theatre Camp and Outta this World - a series of one-off sensory workshops!
Musical Theatre Camp
These sessions are a marvellous opportunity for those at the Thursday performance skills sessions or those who love performance skills but want to learn more about these workshops. They are ideal for those who thrive in a structured setting and are able to follow instructions.
The participants will not only learn about using creative outlets to express themselves but will also make new friends and work together to put on an amazing show. Faye will lead the sessions and will even get them to showcase their talent to the parents in the final session.
Outta this World
Put on your astronaut suit and hop into a rocket with Jade and Sarah and explore outer space - and find out whether the moon is really made of cheese! Through musical instruments and props, participants will create a story about the experiences of seeing new planets and meeting aliens. These sessions are targeted at sensory seekers who need higher levels of support to engage in the sessions.
Each session will have a different theme, with Sensory Storytelling, Sensory Music and Sensory Movement all available to explore!
We look forward to seeing everyone at the sessions this week and we CAN’T WAIT to explore with you!
Dates: 12th, 13th and 14th April 2023
Location: The Chiltern School, Houghton Regis, LU5 5PX
Sign-up for these sessions has now closed.
