Meet the Volunteer - Jenny

This newsletter’s Volunteer of the Month is Jenny.!

We wanted to shine our special spotlight on Jenny as she has gone absolutely above and beyond! Her work is a big part of why Spectrum can continue in 2023!

Jenny is a member of the events and fundraising team and has been a superstar these past few months, helping us with our £20,000 crowdfunding campaign.

She helped make the Quiz Night, 80s/90s Disco and Halloween Party happen, and she even took to the skies with Josh - our Volunteering Coordinator - in their fundraising skydive.

I have had the pleasure to ask her some questions. Here’s what we discussed.

What’s your favourite thing about volunteering at Spectrum?

I love how friendly everyone at Spectrum is! It is a lovely team to be part of and the participants never fail to make me smile when I'm in class.

What have been your favourite events you’ve helped organise so far?

I really enjoyed helping Elisha organise the Quiz, and I hope everyone enjoyed taking part in it!

What do you enjoy about your role?

I enjoy volunteering because it is incredible to see what a difference we make to the participants and sessions are always so much fun! Being part of the fundraising team also means that I can continue to be involved with Spectrum even when I can't be at classes.
