Katrina Grant -
Designated Safeguarding Lead

Hello, my name is Katrina. After leaving ballet school, I spent many years working in theatre, as a dancer, actress and then as a very happy stage manager. Married to a lighting designer meant that once children came along, two of us working theatre hours was no longer practical, so I trained as a primary school teacher. Now retired, I am thoroughly enjoying volunteering at Spectrum with its amazing community spirit and strong ethos for inclusivity. In schools, I had been a SENDco and part of the safeguarding team for many years, which is helping me now in my new role of DSL for Spectrum.

A DSL has overarching responsibility for how safeguarding is embedded and operationalised within an organisation.
